SIMPLE SOLUTIONS FOR COMPLEX PHENOTYPES
ABOUT US
We harness the power of massive diversity to engineer bacterial properties that are inaccessible to other methods. Lathyrus licenses a technology developed by researchers at NC State (AIDE) to generate tunable random mutations in DNA up to 90 kb in length. This diversity is ready-to-screen in bacterial cells, with up to 10^11 variants present in a clean genomic background. We apply these libraries to identify strains fitting a client's needs, or supply the libraries themselves. Our technology is currently optimized for E. coli, with additional species under development.
